The first days
Start a running list for thank-you notes
Anyone who sent flowers, food, cards, or made a donation in their name. Handwritten notes are traditional, but a brief email or text is fine. Keep a running list as things arrive; you won't remember later.
What you'll need
- A notebook or shared doc to track who sent what
Good to know
Track as you go: As flowers, cards, and food come in, note who sent what in one place. Easier to build the list as you go than to reconstruct it a month later when you're finally ready to send notes.
