Cancel driver's license and government IDs
Return the driver's license and state ID to the DMV. Cancel any passport with the State Department. Turn in a concealed carry permit if they held one. This prevents identity fraud in their name.
What you'll need
- Their driver's license, passport, and other IDs
- A copy of the death certificate
